President's Message It is my distinct pleasure to extend an invitation to you, my colleagues, as well as others from your various agencies and organizations to the 68th annual meeting of the Association of Southern Feed, Fertilizer and Pesticide Control Officials. Our purpose is to promote sound legislation, govern firm but fair enforcement of laws and regulations for the enforcement of the sale, use, and distribution of pesticides, fertilizer and feed. It goes without saying that we again find ourselves in tough economic times, having to be ever watchful of what seems to be ever decreasing budgets. It is with this in mind that I make the following pledge, speaking for your executive committee we will make certain that the content of this meeting will be worth every hour and dollar spent by you and your agencies in attending. This meeting is a terrific forum to discuss issues for law enforcement as well as the members of the regulated community; where Department Heads and Directors can sit side by side with field staff, chemists and industry personnel to discuss issues that impact the planet on which we live. Our committee chairs are very aware of how important it is for them to recruit top notch speakers and timely topics to ensure we “fill the seats”. Please mark your calendars and make plans now to join us in beautiful Oklahoma City at the HOTEL information… Contact info, registration fees, room rates, cut off for registration, etc. Please visit the ASFFPCO website regularly for updates and program information. I look forward to seeing you in Oklahoma!
