President's Message The Southern meeting is just over Three Weeks away. The dates for this year’s meeting are June 22-25, 2008. The folks in Louisiana and your Program Chairman, Patty Lucas, have put together an excellent program with topics that all should be present to hear. Just to remind you, make your room reservations for the meeting NOW! The contracted hotel is the Royal Sonesta, located on Bourbon Street, in the French Quarter. Make your reservations by calling the hotel at: 504-586-0300 and referencing the Southern Conference or ASFFPCO (the first is easier). Time is running out to receive the contracted rate. The meeting reservation form is posted at the website, www.asffpco.org. Please complete and return with the appropriate fee. Don’t miss the cutoff and incur a late fee. The sooner Bob has numbers the better he can finalize event planning. Talk with your directors and stress the importance of this meeting. The program is posted and this information should be shared, stressing the content and relevance to your state and employees. Promote this important meeting. This is an excellent opportunity to support the sponsor state, Louisiana, as well as New Orleans in their effort to recover from past Hurricanes. Visit the ASFFPCO website regularly for up-to-date registration and program information. Make this 66th meeting the best. See you in the Big Easy! Mike Hancock ASFFPCO President
